Cretaceous mountains are the highlight of the National Park Dvorichansky, protected area in the northeastern part of the Kharkiv region. It’s single mountain group from north-eastern to south-western part of the park along the river Oskol. In the north, Dvorichansky borders with Russia.
The park is 3131.2 hectares (7,737 acres) reserve part – 548.4 hectares (1,355 acres), which is 17.51% of the overall territory. The park consists of two botanical sanctuaries: Chervony and Konoplyane, which territories are reserved.
