Brebeneskul is the most high-altitude lake Ukraine, located at an altitude of 1,801 meters (5,909 ft) under Berbenskul and Hutyn Tomnatyk mountains. This is the area of Chornohirsky reserve area (part of Carpathian Biosphere Reserve). It stretches 134 m (440 ft) long and 44 m (144 ft) wide. The banks are high, the water is clear. A small river Brebeneskul flows from the lake.
Please note that beautiful views of the lake with lots of sunlight are possible to be filmed only in the morning when the sun shines on this side of the mountain. In the afternoon, the sun quickly disappears behind the ridge and it becomes colder and darker. Because of the climate and terrain, the snow may lie even in May.
