The tract is located in the valley of Buki river (Malovyskivskyy district, Kirovohrad region), the geological nature monument of local importance. Total area is 2.5 hectares (6 acres).
One of the few places with a lot of natural waterfalls in the Ukrainian lowlands. An example of a typical Eastern European steppe landscapes of river valleys. Kaskady is a place where massive granite boulders from Proterozoic period come to the surface – these are the elements of ancient tectonic structure of Ukraine. The time of their formation dates back to around 2 billion years ago.
