At the mouth of the Velyka Korabelna river there is a huge canyon with steep 50-meter (165 ft) cliffs and wild vegetation – a real mountain land in the Ukrainian steppe. In addition to typical steppe, meadow and forest vegetation, one can find relics of different geological eras. There are considerable reserves of medicinal radon water as well.
The canyon is a part of the regional landscape park “Granite-steppe lands of Buh”, which has a great historical and cultural value. There are many archaeological sites in this area: Slavic and Trypillian culture, evidences of Cimmerian, Scythian, ancient Slavic and Roman settlements.
